Ride

I haven't seen many trikes, let alone reverse ones, around. How does it ride?

Re: Ride

I've never ridden anything with 2 wheels, so I can't compare to that, but I love it. It's fairly weighty, so it doesn't feel as dangerous as it probably is :) It's very stable. It gets 60 mpg and can go about 90-110 mph (though I've only gotten it up to 60 and haven't tried the highway yet).

Re: Ride

Seems like some nice stats, I had no idea one would go that fast. How about storage - can you go grocery shopping with it and be fine, or do you need extra room for stuff?

Re: Ride

The storage is pretty skimpy. (I've read that it's the worst on this model as they took away storage space to accommodate the bigger engine). However, I usually have my backpack and you can also get saddle bags or a rear hard case for storage if you need it. I still have my car so I'll probably not bother with the extra storage accessories when on the scooter and opt for the car when I need to make any purchases that can't fit in my backpack or under seat. (Take out food fits just fine in the seat, plus the engine keeps it warm!)

Wow! Neat!

*high5 from a fellow trike person, albeit one sans motor*

70 so far

I hit 70 on the way to work this morning, and my jacket and helmet both arrived today (the helmet in the above photo is one I borrowed from a friend until mine got in), so now I'm "fully geared" as well :) I'm still not ready to try the highway or have anybody ride with me, but I'm getting there. My comfort level today is vastly higher than it was Thursday when I got it.

I still can't believe I decided to and got it as quickly as i did. Not my normal style :)
